YELLOW . . . the power to stimulate senses and provoke alertness into a roused state.

A current color trend for today's home decor.

Associated with cheerfulness and the sun, it makes a perfect choice in rainy climates or in north-facing rooms or rooms without windows.

However, yellow can be a challenging color to live with, which is why it works best in small, careful doses. Intense yellow is best when used as an accent wall in a living room or office, and left out of the bedroom.

Yellow draws the eye and becomes brighter with greater saturation. Which is why soft, buttery yellows can be used in larger amounts, and do fine in a bedroom or kitchen.

Yellow is a great color for the home, and with so many shades of yellow - from warm and golden tones, to cheerful sunny shades, the choices are many!

Happy Painting!
