Today's Kitchen

Kitchens have always been the heart of a home, and today these family gathering rooms are becoming bigger and better then ever.

A successful kitchen design will include plenty of storage. However, that doesn't mean all items should be hidden behind closed doors. If you have good-looking kitchen accessories, why not let it be part of the decor? Display cabinets, whether large or small, add so much to a kitchen.

Classic glass-paneled cabinet doors keep a kitchen looking light and airy. Be sure to reserve them for matching sets or interesting collections. Put messy gear behind solid doors.

A wall cabinet with a frame-less glass door is a great touch in a sleek contemporary kitchen. Great when flanked by dark woodwork, and a low-voltage interior downlight to showcase your collectibles.

Display wall cabinets are a wonderful way to draw the eye, and becomes a focal point. So use the display cabinets where the look is pleasing, and make sure you do not "over-do" the collectibles. The look is to be of interest, not clutter.

Happy Decorating!
